**Day 1. Edmonton, AB to Kiskatinaw, BC.** Travelling to Dawson Creek we reach Mile ''0'', the start of the Alaska Highway and tour the Visitor Centre. The trails in Kiskatinaw Provincial Park provide an enjoyable afternoon hike.
**Day 2. Tetsa River Provincial Park, BC.** On our way to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, we hike to Sikanni Falls, mountain goats are often seen in this area. In the afternoon we make a stop at the Buckinghorse River, a moose sanctuary.
**Day 3/4. Muncho Lake Provincial Park, BC.** On Day 3, we hike through beautiful wildflower meadows in the alpine tundra of Stone Mountain Provincial Park. We set up camp that evening beside Muncho Lake. The next morning, a half day hike takes us into the park where we are surrounded by the barren peaks of the Rocky Mountain''s most northern terminus. Here we can see great hoodoo rock formations. The afternoon is spent relaxing at Liard Hotsprings, where a boardwalk through a boreal forest takes us to two hot spring pools. In the evening we visit one of the area''s natural mineral licks that attract deer, caribou and moose.
**Day 5. Frances Lake, YT.**Our next destination is Watson Lake, home of the signpost forest, a collection of sign post numbering over 20,000 which was started by a homesick US Army soldier in 1942. We follow Yukon tradition by erecting our own sign at the Watson Lake Signpost Forest. Next we pick up our Yukon Explorer Passport Program. Our stamped passports entitle us to a free poster and a chance to win some gold bullion. We then venture off the Alaska Highway and plunge into the Yukon wilderness to set up camp on Frances Lake, a sacred native gathering place.
**Day 6. Minto Landing, YT.**Here the tour connects with the old fur trade route. The Ross River Suspension Footbridge takes us to the abandoned native village of the Pelly people. After viewing ancient Lapie Canyon, we set up camp in Minto Landing. Minto was once a sternwheeler stop on the Yukon River during the Klondike Goldrush.
**Day 7/8/9. Dawson City, YT.** Travelling down the historic ''Silver Trail'' we stop at historic Binett House at Mayo, then carry on further to the abandoned silver mine of Elsa and the almost abandoned town of Keno. While in Keno we visit the miner''s museum (included entrance fee). Day 7 ends at Dawson City, our camp over looks the Yukon River. In Dawson City passengers have the option to visit the abandoned Gold Dredge #4, pan for gold, or visit the Bear Creek Gold Camp. In the evening enjoy the nightlife at Diamond Tooth Gertie''s Gambling Saloon (entrance fee included). Free time is given to explore local hiking trails, a sternwheeler graveyard, the Palace Grand Hotel, Gaslight Follies and the Klondike Goldrush Museum. A spirited evening with the infamous ''Yukon Sour Toe Cocktail'' provides a taste of Dawson City nightlife.
**Day 10/11/12. Burwash Landing & Kathleen Lake, YT.** Kluane National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to Canada''s highest peak, Mount Logan and the most extensive polar icefield in the world. Activities include hiking, optional glacier flights and trout fishing on Kluane Lake.
**Day 13/14. Whitehorse, YT.** We tour the ghost town of Silver City on our way into Whitehorse. Optional activities include horseback riding, the MacBride Museum, Yukon Gardens, walking Tours of historic buildings and boat Tours of the Yukon River.
**Day 15. Teslin, YT.** On our journey to Teslin we visit Carcross. This village is home to beautiful Emerald Lake and the world''s smallest desert. We finish our Yukon Passport Program in Teslin and visit the George Johnson Museum (included activity).
**Day 16. Cotton Lake, BC.** We recommend renting a canoe and spending the latter part of the day exploring the beaver dams of Cotton Lake. As this area is also called ''Moose Meadows,'' be prepared to spot other wildlife.
