Explore America''s favorite National Park on a camping trip that will take you off the beaten path-to trails and sights unseen by most who venture here. 3 days and 3 nights of camping, hiking, and swimming, in a fun-filled, friendly atmosphere.
**Day 1 of tour** We leave San Francisco in the afternoon headed for the campsite, stopping en route to load up with food and supplies. After setting up and sorting out the camp we light a fire if its not hot enough already and get to know each other over a few beers.
**Day 2 of tour** Rising early we prepare breakfast and lunch, clean up camp and head off in the van for a day''s hiking. The hiking can vary depending on the chosen hike for the day but we normally go up into the high country and some of the hikes go through beautiful mountain lakes, snow melt waterfalls, amazing granite rock formations and trails as high as 11,000 feet. On this first day we also head for the Giant Sequoia trees. The largest living things on earth, the trees are breathtaking and the hike through the Sequoias is shaded and pleasant and brings you right up close to these massive wooden monuments, some of which are over one thousand years old and measure up to 30ft wide & 300ft tall. We hike as a group so everyone gets to know each other better. The hikes can vary depending on what''s best for the time of year but Yosemite is so vast there''s always plenty of good trails to hike.
**Day 3 of tour** Day three is what we call the free day. We head into Yosemite Valley which is the most famous and picturesque part of Yosemite with some of the world''s tallest waterfalls and rock climbs and vistas made famous by Ansel Adams'' photographs. We start off with a tour through the valley after which you can choose what you wish to do for the day. The valley contains a number of great hikes you can take or you can rent a bike or hang out in the meadows or by the river and just relax for the afternoon.
**Day 4 of tour** On the last day we have a leisurely morning, maybe swim in the river and pack up. After that its back to the city, arriving at around 3.30 in the afternoon.
This adventure includes camping equipment (except a sleeping bag), food (except meals en route), park fees, tax, and transportation. If you need to bborrow a sleeping bag, we will rent it to you for $10 for the trip. Trips depart every Sunday and Wednesday from May 26- October 16.
