Ningaloo Reef is the only easily accessible place on our planet where these gentle giants appear in large numbers at predictable times of the year. The use of a spotter plane assists us in pin pointing the whalesharks.
Your Whale Shark Diving Adventure begins when we pick you up from your accommodation at 0745-0800. Once on our air conditioned coach we will transport you to Tantabiddi where you will board our 15 metre dive vessel, Takashi. During the 45 minute coach trip through the Cape Range National Park, keep an eye out for some of the local fauna, such as; kangaroos, emu''s, eagles and goanna''s.
Once on board Takashi, as we start cruising to the first snorkeling (or scuba diving) destination, we will brief you on the days activities, safety procedure and protocol of swimming with the Whale Sharks. You will also be fitted with your snorkeling gear, which you can test at our first dive spot where you can see endless beautiful corals. There are also a myriad of tropical fish to see, including Clown Fish, Clark''s Amenones, Angel Fish, Parrot Fish, Spangled Emperor, Groper and many more.
We then cruise to the outer reef, to start the search for the Whale Sharks. This process is made easier by the use of spotter planes that radio Whale Shark positions to us, so that we can easily locate them. The remainder of our day is made up of locating Whale Sharks and snorkeling with them, cruising the reef looking for turtles, dolphins, dugongs , manta rays and other creatures of the deep, as well as discovering the coral wonders abundant with diverse marine life.
A delicious lunch and refreshments are also included for your enjoyment. The day''s schedule can vary depending on when our friends of the deep decide they would like to swim with us. At Three Islands Marine we have an excellent record of interaction with Whalesharks. We further support this with our no sighting policy.
