Adelaide City's best small backpackers, 'The Tatts' is located right in the heart of the city. Sightseeing, shopping, services - all are literally at our front door.
We are located above an historic little Hotel and we are very comfy, clean and great value. Our varied accomodation is offered as doubles/twins(with TV's) 4, 6, 8 and budget 10 bed dorms.
Besides our unrivaled location, we are constantly told we offer the best backpacker value in the city. Breakfast is included, home made cake nightly, tea & coffee is always available, we don't charge you to watch our brilliant video collection, we have the cheapest internet in the city and we offer complimentary transfers to our Hostel from the inter state train or bus station between 8am and 6pm if pre- arranged. And just to top it off you can get a great beer at 20% discount, day and night, in the Aussie pub below. Our friendly staff are always happy to help with tour advice and bookings and will point you in the right direction for our job notice board.
We have a big self catering kitchen, 24hr laundry, internet and guest telephone, a great games room with lots of couchs and bean bags to curl up in to watch our extensive selection of new release and classic videos.
Our brilliant outdoor terrace overlooks Hindley Street & Rundle Mall - great for people watching or catching a few quiet rays with other friendly guests. All of our beds include fresh linen, pillow and cosy duvet so all you need to bring is your own towel.
Because we are only a small Hostel of 48 bed spaces, friendliness and warmth flow throughout the Hostel - so easy to get to know other backpackers if you want. Security is a priority and fully enforced.
Our Hostel caters for both the young and the young at heart.

NOTE: Terms & Conditions when booking this Hostel are that cancellations with 3 days notice or more attract no penalty from the hostel, 3-1 days notice attracts 1 full nights penalty while less than 1 full days notice and no-shows attract 100% penalty of the original booking or 3 days whichever is the smaller of the two. Due to the heavy pre-booking Adelaide Arts Festival season between 17/2/04 and 24/3/04, 14 days notice of cancellations/changes must be given or 100% penalty of original booking will be charged.
Please also note only mixed dorms are available during peak booking times as above.
