Tambopata Candamo Expedition

Day 1: Greetings at the airport and transportation to the WASAÍ Maldonado Lodge. You will embark on a motorboat trip up the Tambopata river to Wasai Tambopata Lodge and Research Center. During the trip into the heart of the rain forest we will be able to observe clouds of butterflyes, typical Amazon communities , while groups of birds pass over the boat and animals such as capybaras turtlle and caiman. Reception and accommodation at Wasai lodge.
Introductory walk to understand rainforest ecosystems and see some of the amazing trees.
After dinner we will return to the river to search for caimans ( type of alligator) . We will enjoy diverse sounds of the jungle which will accompany our first night in Amazonia. Sleep in the lodge.
Day 2: We travel the Tambopata River for an our and half to the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. You will see a magical sunrise and it is a great opportunity to see animals such as capybaras, tapir, Jaguar, and deer in the surrounding virgin forest. Then return to to the lodge to have a late breakfast and afterwards we will make the return trip in boat to Wasai Maldonado Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado.
Along the Madre de Dios River, we walk for a an our in the forest to the Lake Sandoval, a beautiful oxbow lake. We board wooden canoes and paddle around the lake in search of wildlife. You will have the opportunity to fish piranhas and swim in the lake. Prepare yourself for a spectacular sunset.
We return after dark looking for nocturnal wildlife along the trail.
Day 3: Breakfast and transportation to the airport.
