From your villa you will enjoy magnificent views over Spring Bay and historic Maria Island National Park. The waters of the bay are crystal clear and the white sand beach is absolutely pristine. You will also enjoy the quiet as the main road is 4 kms away! With your peace and privacy in mind, only five villas have been built on this thirty- acre property adjacent beautiful Spring Beach. At sunset, watch as the Wallabies and Kangaroos come to feed on the lawns. If you are up early in the morning, you might see our resident Wombat wander past your door on his way home. And don’t be surprised if you see a Tasmanian Devil or two! Wildlife abounds here and they’re not afraid of humans. Native birds love it here too. It is common to see Sea Eagles, Black Cockatoos, Parrots, Wrens, Robins and Kookaburras in the trees and shrubs near your villa. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
At Spring Beach Villas we believe that we can enjoy this beautiful part of the world whilst having minimal impact upon the natural environment. Tasmania has some of the freshest air and cleanest water in the world. Our wildlife is healthy and abundant. Our environmental policy has been designed to help keep it all that way.
All villas are supplied with fresh rain-water from tanks fitted to each villa. In the dry season, tank water is topped up if necessary from an underground spring. Guests are encouraged to minimise use of water as far as possible.
All villas are supplied with two garbage bins. One for all re-cycleble material, which is later sorted. The other, for non-recyclable waste.
All villas are connected to an “Enviro-cycle” waste-water management system. For more information on this eco friendly system please visit: www
As far as possible, only natural cleaning products are used in the villas. These include, methylated spirits, vinegar, bi-carbonate of soda, borax and vanilla. The dishwashing liquid used is bio-degradable. No pressure pack sprays or other chemicals are used in the cleaning of villas. Re-cycled plastic shopping bags are used for the waste bins in the villas.
Guest linen is washed in borax and dried, whenever possible, on clothes lines in the sun.
Firewood for the fire places in the villas is gathered from fallen or dead timbers on the property.
Guests are encouraged to save vegetable waste for the compost and chickens. Organically grown vegetables, fruit and eggs, when in season, may be available for guest use.
