We would like to introduce ourselves as the first Ayurvedic Beach Resort in India situated 21 Kms. away from Trivandrum City and Airport. Rich with tradition, culture and overwhelming natural splendors. Sitting a top a hill spread over an area of 15 acres of lush greenery and traditionally styled Bungalows, built in wood and sporting antique, carved doors and Pillars. Each building is a unique piece of Kerala architecture. We have two categories of Kerala Houses, Deluxe and Ordinary. We also have Special Cottages and Ordinary Cottages and Mini Cottages. In total we have 46 double occupancy accommodations at our resorts.
Our Ayurvedic Hospital with 12 Doctors and 70 Therapists offers more than 28 different types of Treatments and Body Care Programs. The treatments can be decided after a direct consultation with our doctors on arrival. We have a Yoga Center where Yoga can be learnt and Meditation practiced under the guidance of our Guru.
We are pleased to inform you that we are hourned by the Kerala State Tourism Department, as the Best Ayurvedic Center of the Sate, for the last four years. So would like to inform you that we are doing all types of Treatment and Ayurvedic programme in the traditional way to achieve maximum results.
Soma Houseboats operated by Somatheeram Beach Resorts Group offers the opportunity of a lifetime to view scenic beauty of Kerala by traveling the backwaters. Soma Houseboats are mini-mobile cottages. Most of them have two cabins, including a sitout, sundeck, bedroom and private bath. Interior is fully covered by wooden panels. To assist the tourists, the Houseboats have guides and a crew of experienced hands.
Our sister concern Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village which is just a few meters away from Somatheeram Beach Resort consist of cottages in Special and Ordinary categories providing the same services listed above.
ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
Sidhartha: A granite built palace like a house with a spacious pentagon shaped living room, a gorgeously decorated king size bedroom, overlooking an inexplicable panorama. Steps leading to a terrace with an eye-catching view, an open courtyard with a palm tree and an open roof bath are added attractions. From the bed you could have an elevated sea view.
Illam, Mana, Tharavadu, Arappura (Deluxe) : Traditional Kerala houses mostly wooden built with antique doors and furniture. Each house has 2 bedrooms, one being deluxe with a living room and the other an ordinary room rented separately. Taken together your own an exclusive compound with greeneries and the ocean for sight.
Jeeva: A Kerala house with two bedrooms rented separately situated on the slopes to the beach amidst verdant coconut grooves.
Nalukettu: A traditional Kerala 'Tharavadu' houses with four bedrooms, rented separately, mostly wooden built surrounded by a veranda with an inner open courtyard with antique doors and pillars overlooking the ocean.
Cottages (Special): Round brick built tatched villas vis-à-vis ocean. Total number 21.
Cottages (Ordinary): Round stone or brick built thatched villas. Total number 6.
All rooms are ensuite bath, properly ventilated with fan, hot water and phones. Deluxe and Kerala rooms are provided with refrigerators.
Cottages (Mini): Round villas thatched and built of brick vis-à-vis the ocean. They are provided with common toilet. Total number 4.
