Owlhouse Backpackers is located in a quaint cottage in Nieu Bethesda, in an area of the Eastern Cape known as the Little Karoo. Much of the Little Karoo is arid semi-desert, but Nieu Bethesda offers an oasis: a small, green and fertile valley, tucked away in the Sneeuberg mountains.
The backpackers is small, yet uncrowded, and has a garden for relaxing in. It offers a common room, dining room and kitchen, and a pleasantly cool stoep (verandah), with a braai (barbecue), table and benches - perfect for those hot summer nights.
