All cultural and commercial activities of Merida take place near Nomadas Hostel:
You can find Paseo Montejo (Main Avenue) only 3 blocks away, where the Fiesta Mexicana is celebrated every Saturday evening. You can also find around there The Anthropology Museum; Santa Lucia Park (2 blocks) where you can enjoy of free Folklore Dances and serenades. Museums, bars, theatres, supermarkets, migration office, American Express and banks are just 3 or 4 blocks from the Hostel.
Free Salsa Leccons at 19 hours!!!!
Do you feel like dancing some salsa in Bar Mambo Café? Offering live music, performed by different Latin bands every night. The entrance fee is 50, except on Wednesdays when it is free and Thursdays of Ladies Night (ladies free) and men pay 50. Beer costs 30 pesos, but consumption is not obligatory. Recommended time to go is from 21.00 to 22.00. A taxi for 1 to 4 people costs 50 pesos and we can call one for you in the reception.
Nomadas Hostel offers Live Music from Monday at Friday at 20.00, Mexican Rancheras and Trova!
Continental breakfast is included and self-service. It is served from 7 am to 9.30. If you need to leave the Hostel earlier than that, you may arrange with the front desk clerk to get your breakfast between 6 and 7am. On the green board you can read what you may take.
If you wish to purchase yucatecan hammocks, please read first our recommendations on the green notice boards on the hall to avoid being over charged. Do not pay more than 200 pesos!
Bus Tickets: If you wish to buy 1st class tickets, you can order them from the reception. The bus company (ADO) delivery fee is 12 pesos, independently of the number of tickets purchased. Nomadas Hostel does not charge for the phone call.
If you wish to purchase a flight ticket to Mexico City, Cuba, Canada, USA, Europe, Central and South America or any place in the world ask the front desk to contact our travel agency Nomadas Travel.
We also offer guided Tours with transportation (hostel-ruins-hostel) included to Uxmal, Kabah and Chichen Itza from 195 pesos. These low prices are exclusive for our guests, in other agencies the price start from 300 pesos.
For trips by yourself to the Cenotes of Cuzama, Uxmal, Celestun, Chichen Itza, Mambo Café or taxies to the bus station, we have blackboards to make easy to arrange group trips, saving money and having fun. Please write down your name, estimated time of departure and bed number.
Every three days you may request a new set of clean sheets.
