**Day 1**
0700 - Pick up at your Kanchanaburi Hotel, meet your naturalist leader, and transfer to Erawan National Park.
0830 - Trek through the areas magnificent forest and limestone cliffs, visiting along the way a mineral lick used by wild elephants, wild boar, gaur, and a range of other wildlife. Take some time for bird watching
1200 - Lunch by the edge of a mountain stream, and relax to the sounds of the forest.
1300 - After lunch explore the area for signs of wildlife and visit a lake and sinkhole where the river simply disappears underground, only to re-appear again further down the mountainside. Descend from the plateaux, keeping your eyes out for the resident great hornbills, and exist the forest.
1500 - Pick up and transfer to your local resort on the banks of the Kwae river and surrounded by dramatic forested mountains.
Overnight: Resort on the River Kwae. Meals [L,D)
**Day 2**
0700 - Breakfast overlooking the river
0730 - Depart your resort for the eastern side of Erawan National Park.
0830 - Visit the Royal Forest Department wildlife breeding station, home to wild boar, various species of deer, and the endangered Banteng
0930 - The start of a nature paddle down the Kwai Yai River, passing through beautiful scenery looking out along the way for colourful birds such as the Black-caped Kingfisher, and reptiles such as the giant water monitor.
1230 - Lunch at a river-side restaurant
1330 - Transfer by 4x4 vehicle to a nearby cave, which contains amazing prehistoric artifacts and thousands of bats.
1530 - Pick up and transfer to Kanchanaburi or onward transfer to Bangkok (optional)
