The Mega Moose Pass is a combination of East and West Pass, and offers you both for one great price. This Pass will require a minimum of 19 days (28 days recommended) to complete both routes Please keep in mind that the East and West Pass are not connected. We recommend that passengers allow at least a three days to make their way from Toronto to Vancouver or vice versa.
The two passes that are combined to make the Mega Moose Pass are:
East Pass - is a minimum 9 day circuit starting and finishing in Toronto (or Montreal) and covering the following route: Toronto - Kingston - Montreal - Trois Rivieres - Quebec City - Val David - Mt. Tremblant - Ottawa - Fort Coulonge - Maynooth - Algonquin Park- Toronto.
West Pass - is a minimum 10 day circuit starting and finishing in Vancouver covering the following route: Vancouver - Whistler - Kamloops - Valemount - Jasper - Lake Louise - Banff - Revelstoke - Kelowna - Vancouver.
Please note although this tour is listed as starting in Toronto and finishing in Vancouver, you are also free to start in Vancouver and finish in Toronto!
Accommodation is not included in the cost of the tour but Moose Travel Network ensures beds are available to each passenger at all major stopovers. However, the accommodation we gaurantee is only at certain Hotels and are co-ed dorm room beds only. Passengers wishing to stay at certain places or requiring more privacy are encouraged to book their own accommodation. We guarantee a minimum of 3 departures a week from each location (departures may be as frequent as daily at certain times of the year). Schedules are available upon arrival in Canada. Most Hostels we stop at have cooking facilities and we do grocery stops along the way. Often, we also organize group meals for those interested - it makes cooking easy and cheap! As regards your budget for the trip - most of your money will be spent in the following three areas: Accommodation - budget approximately $15-$20 Cdn. per night
Food - budget approximately $10-$25 Cdn. per day depending on how much and where you eat.
Activities - we get discounts on most activities and some such as hiking, canoeing and swimming are free, but there is always a choice!!
