We will ski one of the many great mountains, including Northstar-at-Tahoe, Sugarbowl, Alpine Meadows, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Heavenly, or Kirkwood. Magnificent views of high alpine lakes from elevations above the tree line and wonderful powder, which is ideal for skiing and snow boarding, abound. Located in the Northern Sierras, Tahoe is only a few hours away from San Francisco. We''re coming into our eleventh year of offering backpackers and travelers the best way to experience Yosemite in a relaxed fun filled atmosphere at a very good price. We are extending this experience to our Tahoe trips for locals and travelers alike. You have the option to stick with others or go off on you own, so nobody is put under pressure while at the same time nobody is held back. The itinerary varies depending on the time of year, weather conditions, snow level and a number of other possibilities that are largely out of our control, but because we know the Tahoe region so well we always put on an interesting schedule for a fun and unforgettable time.
We get you to the slopes when they open. We can take you gear along with our racks, or you can rent on the slopes. Whether you are an individual, school group, work partners, friends, families, we have great rates on rental/lesson packages, learn to ski or snowboard, or improve on your skills.
Winter and What to Bring
Transportation
We use 15 passenger vans with heating and stereo for a comfortable ride. All of our vans have large roof racks for your luggage and equipment.
What to Bring
On our journeys you will need warm clothes: layers, gloves, hat, water resistant shell, socks, boots, swim wear (you never know), and your own ski/snowboard or snowshoes, if you have it. If you need to rent ski/snowboard or snowshoes, water-resistant shell, etc., or need a lesson notify us with the details so that rental will ready.
Weather
The weather conditions vary during the season. Generally, winter conditions prevail from January through April. Spring skiing conditions are much warmer during April and May.
