Hostel Ytra Lón is situated in the middle of the Langanes peninsula on North East Iceland.
The unspoiled nature, many different kinds of birds and the peaceful environment makes it an ideal stop for nature lovers, bird watchers and people who are seeking a relaxed atmosphere in a family owned hostel.
Exploring Langanes you'll find Skoruvikurcliff and Bigrock where many seabirds are breeding. On Bigrock is the only Gannet habitation in the area, a better place to watch those amazing birds which are hard to find.
Next to the Hostel runs the river Lónsá where anglers can try trout fishing. Located 14km northeast of Thórshöfn and you'll find a new indoor swimming pool, bank, post office and grocery store.
It may be remote but I am glad stay here for peace and tranquillity for the soul.'
