Hacienda Lodge Guachipelin is located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, near the town of Curubande in the province of Guanacaste.
The Hacienda borders the popular Rincón de la Vieja National Park. Since 1985, Hacienda Guachipelin has also been hosting a steady flow of visitors, helping them enjoy the natural beauty of the ranch and the neighbouring national park.
Natural hot springs, virgin forests, jungle waterfalls and volcanic mud pots are just some of the many attractions tourists can enjoy during a stay at the Hacienda.
Together with its strong involvement in ecotourism, Hacienda Guachipelin continues its traditional work of raising cattle and horses.

'Just a little note to tell that Brad and I had a great time in Costa Rica.
We explored a large part of the northwest area and visited 5 parks. We went to the Hacienda Lodge Guachipelin and then went on the zip lines along the canyon of the Rio Blanco. We went on horse back to the Rincon de la Vieja and hiked through the jungle past the waterfalls, mud pits and fumeroles etc. Went for a swim in the river at the base of a waterfall.Went to Palo Verde that was hot and humid! We hiked in Santa Rosa and explored the Fort. We took a tour bus to Arenal due to the distance and although we did not see the volcano we had a great time in the hotpool and spa at Tabacon.
We went to many beaches and did a lot of snorkeling. On the last day we met our friend who lives in Alajuela and went to Poas, it was cloudy but still very nice.
The best part of the trip was the friendly people that we met all over.
