Glenmac is a 1583 Hectare high country merino sheep and beef cattle farm nestled in a quiet valley 60 Kms inland from Oamaru and 15 kms from the small country town of Kurow. Kaye and Keith extend a warm welcome to visitors and enjoy providing them with the experience of living with a friendly farming family on a typical New Zealand high country farm.
Come and stay on a real working, high country farm situated just 15kms from Kurow and 60kms inland from Oamaru in the central South Island. It's a peaceful setting away from traffic noises - just the sounds of animals and birds.
Merino sheep, beef cattle, sheep dogs etc. On our farm enjoy tramping/hiking which can be as challenging as you wish!
You can take day tramps/hikes or shorter walks. Horse trekking/riding and mountain biking (either guided or hire a bike and do your own thing) are also available. We are also close to fishing rivers with guides available by arrangement.
The fossil trail begins nearby and the penguins can be seen in Oamaru. Meals are available by arrangement. FREE internet and washing machine.
