Gabriel's - (former Gabriel Hostel) renting private & dorm bed rooms.
Gabriel's is a small budget place well situated in a splendid location next to the National Theatre and luxury Hotels like Carlton Hotel or Danube, 10 minutes from the Castle and 1 minute from river Danube. Walking distance to the Main (Central) railway station is about 30 minutes.
We have sleeping rooms, which are new, modern and simply furnished (of course with sheets and blankets free of charge). You will find more facilities like laundry, microwave, hot water, fridge and freezer also available.
During summer time we have special price for new female loft dorm beds with air-condition or fen. If you will come at regular check-in time at 10.00 AM we offer you very special price 500 Slovak koruna (12,5 Euro or 15 USD). It means you should pay less as is regular price 580 Sk.(14,5 Euro or 17,5 USD) Total capacity of female loft dorm bed is 8 beds. This price is valid only for your arrival day
Gabriel's is surrounded by approx. 50 restaurants, pubs, bars, tea rooms, rock pubs, discos, italian opera or avantgarde theatres.
That’s why we don't have a curfew and no lock out. (Only sometimes in very special cases like Silvester time could the manager can curfew apply.) It's a favourite place for backpackers and travellers, even out of season.
For your convenience our friendly & serious (respecting all good rules) manager (can organise most anything for you ) is English speaking.
Check out time is 10.00 A.M.
Check in time is 10.00 A.M. After arrival you will receive code key which allow you to come anytime without assistance of the manager or receptionist.
You will take short instruction how to use all things in the hostel,which is necessary for your non-problematic stay.
If arriving at a different time, please contact the manager by phone.
If it is possible the manager can wait for you directly at the station to arrange quick and economic connection to the Gabriel's (if it is possible)
You will receive city tourist maps and info of 'Where to go' in Bratislava' (for free also) or discount tickets for the Bolshoi ballet or dico parties (from 3 Euro)
Description of rooms:
The best choice but also the most expensive is to take the biggest XL room which is bigger than classical Hotel room (see picture).
Other rooms are smaller than common Hotel rooms. They are new, modern and simply furnished. Loft rooms have lowered ceiling.
Dorm bed rooms are provided with very good quality beds.
Gabriel's has no ambition to be like big hotel. There are usually more people in small place, prepared for communication and open-mindedness. We absolutely do not recommend stay for family with kids or older couples. Especially nice friendly atmosphere is paradoxically in dorm bed rooms. We always try to do best for visitors:
* best location - very central and without any traffic noise in pedesterian area
* open all year and quite full
* not limited entrance - enter by code key anytime
* style built-in details. A class Italian tile, lights built into the floor, top quality marble in kitchen, Special big rain fixed shower instead of hand-held toys, plastic bath tub etc.
* nice international atmosphere created among young travellers
* we have prices for young student's & travellers. Discount is possible usually only for groups more than 30 or stay longer than 7 days.
Regular check is in at 10.A.M. or private check in after agreement but latest at 9.P.M.
People not respecting check-in rules has no guarantee for allocation. We should respect sleeping time (10. p.m. - 6. a.m.) of all good travellers. All possible differences we can explain personally by phone ahead if you contact the manager.
CHECK-IN RULES (STUFF, SECURITY & STAFF)
1. The manager is responsible for your action druing your stay and it is important to check in with him at a pre-arranged time, when you arrive. We rely on yourd word. If you cannot check-in at regular or individual prearranged time let us know immediately by phone. (Advice: Each second Slovakian owns a mobile phone - asking for kind unknown friendly looking person what is ussally not big problem.)
2. People who do not respect the check in rules have no guarantee for allocation - renting a room.
3. People using drugs or excessive ammount of alcohol or are noisy during sleeping time hours (10 p.m.-6.a.m.) could be asked by the manager to leave Gabriel's with no refund.
4. Travellers are not usually asked to pay a deposit for their stay however in special circumstances the manager may require a deposit to be paid and curfew may also apply.
5. Travellers & the manager sign rent contact. The manager introduced you to all places, showing all details, could be nice & helpfull with all kind of problems or necessary tourist info (where to go or what to do in free time.)
IMPORTANT: Holders of code keys could be asked for deposit which is given back in check-out time.
Individual check-in times can be arranged by telephone.If necessary, you can send an SMS.
Due to technical specifications cannot guarantee individual arrivals scheduled by e-mail.
Small extra supplement charge per stay: 15 Sk (about 0,3 Euro) for all accomodation in Bratislava-city.
Parking for cars and motorbikes below Gabriel's is in safe garage. For entrance please contact the manager(necessary small supplement).
We couldn't serve vouchers for citizen who needs visa for arrival to Slovakia.
Important notice: Please take with yourself a printed confirmation about booking with directions. Without it could be problem to reach Gabriel's if you are for the first time in Bratislava.
The best way is to call as soon as possible after arrival the Manager for navigation.

Renting contracts are made by § 685 etc. Slovakian Civil law codex between renter and tenant.
