**Four Days ‘West by North West’**
The very best way to spend a long weekend in Ireland. The West and North-West of Ireland contain some of the most stunning, unspoilt scenery and undiscovered areas of the country. Imagine a land where you can walk in the mountains, surf in the Atlantic, or ride a horse along the beach. Where you can explore rebel castles, learn about pirate queens, retrace the footsteps of pilgrims or search for your ancestors.

Great Craic
Only 11 in a group, so much more like travelling with a group of friends than sitting on a coach tour. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal, and we work hard to guarantee you have a fantastic time.
**Day 1**
First we journey west, across the heart of Ireland to County Clare to meet Galway Bay and the North Atlantic. The afternoon can then be spent in a number of ways, depending on what you want to do:
· Lunch in a cosy thatched Pub or picnic on the beach.
· Gallop the length of a beautiful golden beach (horse optional)
· Have a go at surfing in Ireland''s surfing capital.
· Hit a golf ball or just go for a walk.
· Catch the sunset at the spectacular Cliffs of Moher.
Learn about Irelands ancient past and turbulent history as you discover stone age tombs and medieval castles.
Doolin is our home for the first night, a tiny coastal village with three pubs, one shop and two lampposts.
**Day 2**
Heading north, into County Galway and the Connemara region. An area with a special place in the heart of the Irish, with its Mountain ranges, thatched cottages, dark lakes, and wild moorland and wonderfully relaxed pace of life.
Today''s possibilities include:
· A quick visit to Galway city.
· A good walk in the Mamturk Mountains
· Lunch in the quaint fishing village of Roundstone, or barbeque on the beach.
· Try your hand at Gaelic football, you can''t be worse than us.
· Marvel at Kylemore Abbey - one of Irelands most beautiful buildings.
**Day Three**
There is so much to do and see, including:
· Silver Strand Beach - probably the most beautiful in Ireland
· Climb ''Croagh Patrick'' - Ireland''s holiest mountain
· Take the ferry across to either Clare Island or Innisboffin.
**Day Four**
Heading back to Dublin, we stay in the West until the last moment before going home. We have plenty of options for breaking the journey before returning you to Dublin for a tearful farewell hug, followed quickly by several pints.
This tour may also run in the opposite direction.
