This is a great short break within easy reach of Galway City. A chance to explore the magnificent scenery and sights of Connemara, whilst not breaking the bank! The start and finish is at K2 (the Killary Centre) and we provide courtesy transport from the Galway-Letterfrack on a bus which runs Mon – Sat.
**Tour Details** Discover the unique beauty of Killary Harbour, the bustling atmosphere of the market town of Clifden, the picturesque village of Roundstone, as well as the many attractions along the way, which is mainly along the coast. We provide route notes and maps, and will transfer your luggage each day, so you are free to enjoy the magnificent countryside and be still fit enough in the evenings to share a pint and the craic in the pubs at night (perhaps even listening to some music).
**Day 1** Take the public bus from Galway to arrive at K2- the Killary Centre, where you will stay the night in en-suite dorm room. Warm welcome and chance to settle in. You will be given your route pack and general information to study overnight. If there is time we will allocate bikes and equipment. Dinner not included – take at either K2 or diner in the village.
**Day 2** Cycle via Letterfrack to Clifden (45km - with longer options). You are passing by Kylemore Abbey the fairypalace of the West. Stay the night in hostel, dinner in one of the restaurants (not included). Clifden is often labelled the “metropole” of Connemara. It is a colourful, lively small town, with pubs where you may find traditional Irish music being played.
**Day 3** Cycle via Roundstone, a scenic fishing village, famous through the work of many well known painters attracted by its picturesque harbour and wonderful outlook across a deep inlet of the Atlantic to the everchanging peaks of the Twelve Bens to Ben Lettery (near Ballynahinch). Stay the night in Hostel and because there are no restaurants nearby we suggest that you make use of the kitchen there for your dinner.
**Day 4** Depart after breakfast to cycle back to Killary, passing through the Inagh Valley (27 miles, 40 km).
**Day 5** Breakfast, farewell and departure!
**How to get there** The nearest train station is Westport (40 minutes) or Galway (70 minutes).
