Culture Tour in Makalu Area:
In the lower reaches of its valleys, various mountain people such as Rais, Sherpas, and other ethnic groups retain a cultural diversity there is fast disappearing elsewhere. The area contains the legendary “hidden valleys”, which are the basis for the story of Shangri-La as well as a rich material culture built around forests and vegetation resources, subsistence agriculture and herding. Religious pilgrim pays homage to renowned in ancient Tibetan texts. Here ethnic Rais and Sherpas still live in harmony with nature, according to customs that haven’t changed for hundreds of years.
Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nepal (Kathmandu Airport)
Pick up from airport, rest in hotel. Evening visit to Monkey Temple lies on the hilltop only a kilometer far from Thamel for Kathmandu evening Valley view.
Day 2: Whole day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
After breakfast you have sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley. The Valley is cradle of Nepali culture and civilization is the largest valley in the Midlands and certainly the most beautiful. There are seven UNESCO recognized World Heritage Sites within 20 km. Those are: Swayambhu Nath Stupa, Boudha Nath, Bhaktapur City, Changu Narayan Temple, Pashupati Nath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. Today we arrange you to visit all above Cultural Center. Over night in hotel.
Day 3: Kathmandu –Biratnagar. (Bus)
Day 4: Biratnagar – Hile
Day 5: Hile – Leguwaghat
Day 6: Leguwaghat – Gandhepani
Day 7: Gandhepani – Khandbari
Day 8: Khandbari – Chchila
Day 9: Chchila – Num
Day 10: Rest in Num
Day 11: Num – Sedhuwa
Day 12: Sedhuwa – Tashigaun
Day 13: Tashigaun – Khangba Danda
Day 14: Khangba Danda – Mubuk
Day 15: Mubuk – Serson Camp
Day 16: Serson Camp – Serson Kharka – Serson Camp
Day 17: Serson Camp – Yanle Kharka
Day 18: Yanly Kharka – Khungba
Day 19: Khungba – Tasi Gaun
Day 20: Tashi Gaun – Sedhuwa
Day 21: Sedhuwa – Num

Day 24: Fly Tumlingtar – Kathmandu
Day 25: Rest and souvenir shopping
Today you will spend your last day of this trip in Nepal with shopping Nepali products as souvenir for your family and friends. If necessary guide is happy to help you for shopping.
Day 26: Drive back to KTM Int’l Airport for onward flight.
In the morning, after breakfast our airport representative will go Kathmandu Airport to drop you there. Your trip in Nepal (Culture Tour in Makalu Area) is completed!
