Day 1- Toronto to Kingston
·TORONTO- A world-class city with everything to offer from major league sports to thriving theatres to international cuisine. Situated 566 feet above sea level on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto is one of the southernmost cities in Canada. As the capital of Ontario, Toronto is the seat of government for Canada’s most populous province and is the industrial and business centre for the country.
·BIG APPLE- Hundreds of apples pies baked here daily. This structure can hold 653,800 real apples. A little bit of Australian culture in Canada.
·SANDBANKS- Giant sand dunes and golden beaches form two of the largest freshwater baymouth sandbars in the world, here on the shores of Lake Ontario. Take a stroll along the beach, have a swim in the lake or explore the sand dunes.
·LAKE ON THE MOUNTAIN- Discover one of Ontario’s natural wonders at Lake on the Mountain. Cloaked in mystery and legend, it defies all known geographical and geological theory.
·KINGSTON- Once the capital of Canada and now a gateway to the “Thousand Islands” and a chance to sleep on a Canadian Coastguard boat.
·OLD FORT HENRY- A majestic 19th Century British Military Fortress that once protected Canada.
Day 2- Kingston to Montreal
·MONTREAL- summer life…a la Montreal, check out the festival capital of North America. Montreal today, numbers 3.4 million people of virtually every single nationality and creed on the planet. Throughout its colourful history, Montreal has been in turn a French settlement, a British stronghold and a bilingual city. Today it is officially bilingual and proud of its status as the largest French-speaking city in North America. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you a few key phrases.
Day 3- Montreal to Mt. Tremblant ·LAURENTIAN MOUNTAINS- Hike and mountain bike on the oldest mountains in the world. A true playground awaits you north of Montreal.
·VAL DAVID- The beautiful village of Val-David is surrounded by forests and mountains; the village is a paradise for outdoor lovers. This traditional French Canadian community is also well known for its outstanding rock climbing.
·MONT TREMBLANT- The highest skiable peak east of the Rocky Mountains, it’s a playground for all seasons. Try mountain biking, roller blading, hiking, swimming, or cycle along the P’tit train du Nord trail. Canada’s longest linear park, this former train track now offers 200km of forest trails for hikers and cyclists. You can also chill out, kick back and take in Mt. Tremblant’s beautiful scenery.
Day 4- Mt.Tremblant to Ottawa ·OMEGA PARK- unique in Quebec; allows you to discover numerous species of wildlife roaming freely in their natural habitat. A chance to see native North American wildlife from beavers to bears.
·OTTAWA- The nation’s capital has it all including the parliament buildings, art galleries, museums and best of all, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Nestled at the junction of three picturesque rivers, Ottawa is considered one of the world’s most beautiful capitals and is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Canada. Keep your eyes opened, you might spot a Mountie!
Day 5- Ottawa to Fort Coulonge ·GREAT CANADIAN BUNGEE- Canada’s highest Bungee Jump! Visualize an amphitheater of solid limestone, 200 ft. high, surrounding a 160 ft. deep aqua-blue, spring-fed lagoon, larger than 3 football fields.
·FORT COULONGE- Home to Canada’s longest covered bridge. Relax and take in Eastern Canada’s most dramatic sunrise and awe-inspiring sunset.
Day 6- Fort Coulonge to Madawaska ·WHITE WATER RAFTING- Raft on the world class Ottawa River. Raft both channels of the Ottawa River in the same day. That means twice the rapids, twice the adventure, twice the excitement and twice the fun.
·CANOE, KAYAK, SWIM, BIKE OR HIKE- If you don’t feel like going rafting choose one of the many outdoor activities available right at the Esprit Lodge. At your disposal is the complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, hammocks, climbing wall, volleyball court and our giant sundeck.
·MAYNOOTH- A taste of small town Canada complete with pickled eggs, live music and real lumberjacks.
Day 7- Free day in Algonquin Park ·VISITORS CENTRE- Get a better understanding of the Algonquin Park ecosystem at this excellent interpretation center.
·HIKING- Depending on your level of fitness, do an outstanding hike to an incredible vista!
·ALGONQUIN PARK- The ultimate Canadian experience and your chance to go camping and canoeing with over 10,000 moose and 2,000 black bears- ask your driver for details.
Day 8- Madawaska to Toronto ·RAGGED FALLS- Hike or canoe to the tumbling, swirling Ragged Falls.
·SWIMMING, CANOEING, HIKING- spend the morning down at the beach or go for a hike almost right from your cabin door.
·DORSET- Climb the Dorset fire lookout tower for the best view of the fall colours in Ontario.
