We are situated on a reserve in an old stone cottage with incredible views. There is a wonderful rustic charm, with log fires and wooden floors. The Hostel is serviced throughout the day with piping hot showers, real Basotho huts (built without concrete) as doubles, dining room, lounge and fully equipped, self-catering kitchens. Delicious home-cooked meals and a bush bar made from bottles!!

None of the commercialised trappings of other berg resorts is found here!! NO television, country clubs, helicopter pads or hotels, just berg, bush and baboons on the doorstep!!

Check out the walk to the TOP of the Drakensberg (over3000m up) with awe-inspiring views over a 1km Basalt Lip. Test your courage when you use 100 rung chain ladders down again!!

Guides take you deep into the tribal area to attend Zulu ceremonies, visit witch doctors, schools, crafters, shebeens (taste Zulu Beer) and even have a game of barefoot football!!

Battlefield trips and the Lesotho shuttle run from here!!
