A Travellers Rest-Stop is a small, clean, comfortable and friendly hostel, in Singapore's Chinatown, that caters to the accommodation needs of budget-conscious travellers and backpackers.
As a new Hostel which started operation in September 2003, you may not yet see us mentioned in many of the travel guides, but we have already received many favourable feedback and good ratings from our early guests. - All doubles/twin and dorms have individually-controlled air-conditioning, windows, and attached bathrooms with hot & cold showers. All bed-linen is provided, including towels, for all guests.

Eating out can be quite costly in many western countries, but in Singapore, like in most parts of Southeast Asia, eating out can go quite easy on your wallets. Singapore is a gourmet paradise, and you may be amazed by the wide variety of food that you can find around our hostel, and generally in most parts of Singapore.
- So many things to see and do in Singapore. As part of the latest Uniquely Singapore tourism focus of the Singapore Tourism Board, the Chinatown Night Market will make a comeback from 18 June 2004, along the streets just a few minutes walk from our hostel. On every evening throughout the year, until late night, you will find additional 200 stalls selling a mix of antiques, arts and crafts, and fashion accessories, along with cultural performances such as opera and lion dances.
- Non-smoking environment. For those who just need to light up that cigarette, we have an open roof-top patio. For those who just need to have that drink, there are ample 'watering holes' in the trendy pub district nearby.
- Resource library well-stock with guidebooks and other information about surrounding region; many of these guidebooks are contributed by our kind guests.
- As a Hostel that is licensed by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), it means that our premises complies with all the necessary fire safety codes, building hygiene and sanitation codes, etc, etc. Our guests' health & safety always remain one of our major concerns.
While there are other Hostels in Singapore that are 'cool', 'hip', 'premier', 'party all the time', etc, we offer travellers a relaxed and comfortable stay in a clean, friendly and homely atmosphere. Overall, if you compare our location, facilities, services, convenience, hospitality and price, you will find that we provide really excellent value for your money.
Our price GUARANTEE - due to various reasons, we may need to adjust our prices from time-to-time. However, as long as you have made a confirmed booking, if the price is different when you check-in, you just pay the LOWER price, for the period that you have booked.
