**Day One** Pick-up from your accommodation at 6:30am. Our first stop for the day is to view some fantastic bird life on the Marrakai Floodplain as we head down the Arnhem Highway on our way to Kakadu. What a better way to start the morning than by sitting back and enjoying our private crocodile and wildlife cruise on Corroboree Billabong, a part of the Mary River system. You are bound to see plenty of wildlife and usually a lot of crocodiles on a 1.5 hour cruise that won’t leave you disappointed. We travel into Kakadu via the unsealed Old Darwin Road. After travelling for a while we take a break at White Lily Billabong for another chance to admire congregations of birds amongst water lily covered floodplains. Our next stop is at the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can wander amongst hands on displays and learn about the local clan groups and there lifestyles. From here we make our way to the evening campsite and after dinner you can have a go at playing the didgeridoo. Camp: Koolpin Gorge Walking: 1 km
**Day Two** Today we will get “off the beaten track” and travel to a very beautiful and delicate area called Koolpin Gorge. This remote area is located in the very southern end of Kakadu and there are only 4 companies in Australia who have permits to enter this region. Koolpin Gorge is an extremely sensitive area consisting of beautiful waterfalls, plunge pools and magnificent lookouts. We spend a full day hiking along Koolpin Creek where you can refresh yourself frequently in escarpment pools set amongst some of Kakadu`s most spectacular scenery. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Camp: Minimal Facility Campground Walking: 12km
**Day Three** Our first highlight today is enjoying the picturesque surroundings of Barramundi Gorge where you can spend some time exploring, rock climbing, relaxing or swimming in the waterfalls, the choice is yours. From here we make our way to Twin Falls. Grab your swimming board or put on your snorkelling gear for the swim up Twin Falls Gorge (about 700 metres). We give you the chance to see the aquatic life of Kakadu that most people just swim past. See large varieties of fish, turtles and there is even the possibility of spotting some freshwater crocodiles before finally reaching the beautiful white sandy beach at the base of Twin Falls…simply spectacular. Our exclusive safari camp permit which allows peaceful camping only 10 minutes drive from Jim Jim falls, ensures that tomorrow you will wake up to the sound of the birds instead of the crowds. We are the only company with a permit to camp in this location so you can selfishly enjoy this magnificent part of Kakadu with nobody else around (all other companies must camp 30 minutes away from here). In the evening, a night walk from the camp up to Budjmii lookout is worthwhile as this is a great viewing area for stargazing under the southern skies. (Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner) Camp: Jim Jim Falls Permit Area Walking: 5kms
**Day Four** Today we spend the whole day around Jim Jim Falls and also go exploring on top of the Arnhemland Escarpment, this will be a day that you won’t forget! A great hike known as the Barrk Marlam Walk will take you to the Top of Jim Jim Falls and reward you with a magnificent view down the gorge. Spend a while swimming, bushwalking and rock climbing then enjoy your lunch at the top of Jim Jim Falls away from the crowds! In the afternoon a swim in the plunge pool at the base of Jim Jim Falls is sure to cool you down as you relax in the refreshing water. To reach the plunge pool, a 1km scenic walk through monsoon rainforest is taken and has excellent lookouts over Jim Jim Falls. Take your time to admire the awesome sight of the sheer cliff faces that surround you from the base of the gorge. Tonight you will be able to enjoy a candlelit dinner in the heart of Kakadu. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Camp: Minimal Facility Campground Walking: 10 km **Day Five** A cultural experience awaits you this morning when we visit Nourlangie Rock, one of the most famous rock art and cultural sites in the world. Here you can view art depicting mainly wildlife and Dreamtime stories and ranging in age from 20 000 years old to as recent as 40 years. A short drive from here takes us to Anbangbang Billabong where you can enjoy viewing many varieties of water birds on a floodplain, with Nourlangie Rock acting as an impressive backdrop. Next we take a short hike up Nawurlandja Lookout. From the top of this stony outcrop, you obtain breathtaking views over central Kakadu and across to “Lightning Dreaming” on the Arnhemland Escarpment. View various displays on Kakadu at the Bowali Visitor Centre before heading north to Ubirr rock. At Ubirr Rock you will see some fantastic art sites and learn more about Aboriginal lifestyle and culture. A short climb to the top of Ubirr Rock will reward you with a 360 degree view over floodplains and the Arnhemland Escarpment - a spectacular sight. Leaving Ubirr rock behind us, we head down the Arnhem Highway and drop in to Mamukala Wetlands which offers the bird enthusiast a small paradise at various times of the year. Return to Darwin in the early evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Walking 6 km
